Types of Lessons
Saddlebrook Equestrian Center offers both English and
Western lessons for all levels starting at an average
age of five with Lead Line classes on up to adults.
Lessons are broken down into four levels (Private Lead
Line, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). We offer one
hour Semi-Private Lessons that accommodate up to three
riders and one hour Private Lessons that accommodate a
single student. For the youngsters who aren’t able to
ride on their own, we offer thirty-minute Private Lead
Line lessons. All lessons focus on total horsemanship
and include proper grooming, tacking and care for the
horse, as well as time riding. The Lesson hour starts
with grooming and tacking up the horse and the Lesson
finishes as the rider is dismounting. It is the rider’s
responsibility to un-tack and groom or bath the horse
after the Lesson is over. At Saddlebrook, we teach our
students all the necessary fundamentals of horsemanship
that in turn teaches respect, responsibility and
understanding of the horse. All students must sign
release
forms
and be paid in full for
the month before beginning lessons.

All English lessons
are geared towards the Hunt Seat rider and
prepare students for basic jumping, riding
courses, showing or just enjoying time in the
saddle. All instructors teach fundamental
dressage that builds balance and improves
confidence with the student’s flatwork before
moving on to jumping. |

Our Western program
offers students a chance to learn basic Western
Pleasure equitation and balance that prepares
the student for further Western activities such
as trail riding and showing or more advanced
events such as barrel racing and pole bending. |
